C-Prep's Learning Outcomes

GOD'S I AM POSSIBLE SCHOOL OF HOPE: THE SCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS AND LIMITATIONS TO ACHIEVEMENT AND SUCCESS IN LIFE

1. To understand Biblical principles and display Christ-like character in their daily lives as productive and responsible citizens. For example, students are expected to: 

  • Have accepted or been challenged to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

  • Look to God and His word as the source of truth and answers, respectfully challenging authorities that are contrary to God's Word.

  • Understand and demonstrate who they are in Christ by growth in their prayer lives and through positive choices that reflect the integration of Biblical principles learned.

  • Exhibit self-efficacy and leadership, demonstrating individual and group responsibility.

2. To understand that all C-Prep coursework is to be valued and maximized. For example, students are expected to:

  • Pursue further formal and informal educational opportunities and have a plan to meet their academic goals.

  • Meet or exceed expected academic standards and proficiencies for the state of Indiana and the minimum Core 40 requirements for High School Graduation.

3. To independently, critically and creatively problem solve. For example, students are expected to:

  • Identify, assess, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information.

  • Combine and apply higher-level thinking skills, processes, and competencies to develop and extend their efforts.

  • Transfer learned skills to new tasks.

  • Demonstrate growth in the decision making/problem-solving process.

  • Set, pursue and accomplish realistic yet challenging goals.

  • Demonstrate creative and innovative potential in every academic discipline, including the visual and performing arts.

4. To engage in effective written and verbal communication. For example, students are expected to:

  • Give an original speech with poise, enunciation, and appropriate speed, volume, and pitch.

  • Write concise persuasive, expository, and creative essays that include supportive facts, transitions, logical structure, and grammatical coherence.

  • Gather data and suggest new ideas or improvements concerning what has already been achieved. 

  • Offer opinions and evaluations in a constructive manner.

  • Demonstrate awareness of the world through respect to varying viewpoints, beliefs, and cultures.
